Man found hanging from tree in Kupwara in north Kashmir

The deceased was identified as Abdul Majeed Awan (50) son of Ghulam Rasool Awan resident of Shali Bhata Manigah.
A man was found hanging from a tree in Manigah village of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday afternoon, police said. 
The deceased was identified as Abdul Majeed Awan (50) son of Ghulam Rasool Awan resident of Shali Bhata Manigah.

Local sources said that some people spotted the man hanging from a tree in a forest area of Manigah around 1pm.
A police party from Police Station Kupwara rushed to the spot and took the body in their possession for medico-legal formalities.
“Preliminary investigation had revealed that the deceased has committed suicide,” Station House Officer Kupwara Mohammad Ashraf told Greater Kashmir.
